Nelson : Algebra II
Instructor: Ms Nelson
Prerequisite for this course is at least a C in Algebra I or teacher recommendation. This is a college prep level course. Students who wish to be successful should spend some time each week studying the material.

Any student who completes less than 70 percent of the assignments may be given an incomplete for the quarter.

This class is taught using a combination of Carnegie Learning and traditional Algebra II curriculum.

Homework assignments will be graded as follows: 4 assignments are given each week. **ALL WORK MUST BE SHOWN**
Assignments are due the class following the one in which it was assigned unless noted by me otherwise. You will grade these assignments in class. You are responsible for making sure you have the correct answers recorded.
A question and answer session will follow grading to make sure you understand. You will receive 10 points for the effort on textbook assignments and the points earned on worksheet assignments if the assignment is complete with all work shown. You will receive NO points for only answers on homework assignments.

Worksheets must contain only answers with your work shown on a separate sheet of paper. I will periodically collect homework to be graded by me.

Late assignments will be worth half credit it one day late.  After one day, maximum value for late assignments will be 5 points.

There may be an online quiz each week due by Friday covering the material we learned that week worth 5 points. You MUST email me the results to earn credit.

Computer Lab (Friday) will be graded as follows: 10 points each week. You must complete a minimum number of problems (depending on the unit) to earn these points. In some units you should be able to do 10 or 20 problems, others you may only be able to finish up to 5 problems in a class period. Your time working will be recorded and sent to my computer when you log out of Carnegie. You should spend the class period working on Carnegie. No internet browsing, no game playing, no instant messaging, no homework from another class.

**Missed computer labs must be made up within 2 school days**
